Hey Jonathan, thanks for the encouragement. Noise level assesment is very prone to subjectivity without proper equipment.
If you invest in one of these – sound meters – you can get an actual measurement of your levels and check that against any local statues in relation to noise pollution.
The Gardai here tried to use that on me too but I had already checked it out and they have no jurisdiction over noise pollution – it has to be referred to the local council environmental officer who has to measure the levels accurately and only than can issue a desist order if the levels are over predefined limits. I told them as much and they were very unhappy but dropped it.

Preach through it, Brother. The Gardai aren’t going to come to your aid. They are cowards. God will come to your aid. You may spend a night or two in jail though. I am awaiting trial myself for preaching on “Good Friday.” The officer said I was too loud. He gave me $230.00 a citation. I appealed to his superiors and they said that “there was nothing they could do.” It is only going to get worse. But, praise the Lord for the Comforter! We’re on the victory side no matter what happens!

Hi Patte, I did speak with the Gardai.
They refused to act as the “pub was quite full and would probably cause a lot more trouble” even though the man had clearly breached sections 4, 5 & 6 of the public order act – http://www.irishstatutebook.ie.....print.html
They chose to threaten me with a charge of breaching section 6.
Apparantly it is an incitment to a breach of the peace to disagree on specifics about God.
What we experienced was official support of sectarianism.
